The annual HWY 62 Open Studio Art Tours is a one-of-a-kind experience for art lovers and art buyers to create a free customized self-guided tour of artist studios across the Morongo Basin communities: Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, Pioneertown, Rimrock, Flamingo Heights, Landers, Joshua Tree, 29 Palms and Wonder Valley. Over three weekends in October visitors can experience the workplaces, lifestyles, and desert settings of artists who’ve been drawn to the area and made homes here over the last 50 years. The HWY 62 Open Studio Art Tours allows visitors to enjoy the beauty of the high desert, immerse themselves in its creative community and the opportunity to acquire art directly from local artists and makers. With the influx of many new artists to the high desert, this year promises a wide diversity of mediums, styles and prices. The event is free and open to everyone.

Down the Rabbit Hole
Gallery 62 in downtown Joshua Tree is BACK for June…with a phantasmagorical journey into the creative minds of some of our favorite high-desert artists!
It’s show DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE offers a true wonderland of artwork—from playful to provocative, soulful to surreal. It also pays tribute to our own community of rabbits, who have recently been suffering from their own pandemic. Curated by assemblage artist Kat Johnson, the exhibit features Wini Brewer, Teresa Watson, Jeff Finn, Robert Rootenberg, Cat Celebrezze and Eric Banas. Patti Dietrick and Jamie Ferguson will be showcased in the gallery’s Signature Room. Artists in our Member’s Room include: Rose Cefalu, Cesca, Doug Dolde, Deedee Forrester, Jennifer Grandi, Ed Keesling, Regina Kirillov, Joan Scott and Jen Shakti
Hours will be Saturdays through June from 9am to 3pm, plus Sundays 11am to 3pm. Join us for the Artists’ Reception on Second Saturday June 12, 5-8pm
